Fiji Holidays Travel Tips

Guys! I recently had a holiday in Fiji island. And I wanted to share my tips with you.

So please stick around. Tip number

1- Choosing your flight

try and be flexible with the days you are leaving and the days you are returning.

We chose to go with Fijian airways as they had a flight from Melbourne over night to Fiji, so we could maximise the amount of time that we spent there.

But we carefully looked on the website and chose the day with the cheapest flights.

2- Coral Sun Express Bus

So I only now about this bus as one of my friends Nalini at work is Fijian, she gave us this great tip to take this air conditioned bus.

That stops at all the major resorts. It’s way cheaper than a taxi. It cost us 17 Fijian dollars to get to our resort.

Where as another guest at the resort paid a taxi and it cost 130 Fijian dollars. So it’s
a fantastic saving.

3- Don’t buy your snacks or water at the resort.

Instead purchaseit at a supermarket or the Coral Sun Express Bus.

That I was just tell you about stops at asouvenir store Bavari Handicrafts.

At that shop you could buy 6 1.5L bottles of water for the price of 2 of those bottles at the resort.

4- We stayed at the Beach house Resort

which is a backpackers resort. We went to the Travel Agents first and they gave us options but they were moreexpensive than what we wanted to pay for a short trip to Fiji.

So, once again I consulted my friends and one of themhad stayed at the Beachouse Resort.

The resort had a mix of young and old but it was mainlyadults.

The first night we stayed in dorm room for $25 per person a night. Because itwas fully booked out.

And then we used a travellers special which was 4 nights $320 plus $80 foran addition night.

So our total accommodation ended up costing 450 Australian dollars for6 nights. The food, drinks and activities were a lot cheaper too.

Mind you I think theycould improve their food options.

But never fear as one day we walked along the beach to Mango Beach Resort, and had a delicious meal there.

Everything was more expensivethere.

The Beachouse Resort had lovely staff and your own private beach.

5- Hand Sanitiser

This is something we always pack whenever we go overseas.

And it was particularly helpful at this resort because each day at 3:30, they had FREE scones with jam. And

If you get motion sick? Don’t use that as a excuse not to doit. Take some motion sickness tablets before hand.

6- Do a fishing charter

That’s what I do. Because I don’t want to miss out on life’s adventures. Here I am being the captain of the boat.

The first fish we caught which was so exciting. Because I never seen a fish with such vibrant coloursas what it has.

And here is Dave my hubby holding up the fish. So here is some footage of birds dipping into the ocean.

So where the birds are is where tuna is. And so the next fish we caught was a big tuna.
