Iceland Travel Guide and Costs

Iceland Travel Guide and costs

Go travel to the Iceland series before starting  you have to know that all the informations mentioned are selected from my own experience.

whitch is not the best or the prettiest but it’s the same experience for all the previous vlogs before seting about the costs ,transportations, overnight stay, foods and all the stuffs.

let’s talk about some important experiences i have never shared with you before like the aurora:

the main reason people go travel to iceland usually it’s observable between november and march in iceland witch are the gorgeous polar lights.

it’s like a drawing board in the sky and thanks god i had the chance to see it there are other adventures you can do in iceland like visiting the ice caves,

walking on the frozen rivers but honestly i didn’t try any of it because they were very expensive ( between 200 to 300 $) for the touristic tour during 2 or 3 hours.

i will talk a little bit about the things i didn’t mentioned before   this church is from the 19th centry     we are now at this place there is a beautiful mountain there but this is better.

we are now in the crater:(the top of a volcano) there is ice inside the volcano.

welcome guys it seems like GOT’s serie (game of thrones) kerkafel mountain about the costs and the important stuff iceland is one of the most expensive countries i have seen.

it’s better there if you have a credit card because they don’t deal with the cash bathrooms, gasoline with the card and so as the parking service.

so let’s begin with the important things:

Night in iceland Costs

First the night stay, couchsurfing’s service can offer to you a free night stay at local people’s houses whitch is very hard to find in iceland.

so avoid it the hostels one night in iceland is between 30 and 40 £ and some of them can cost 60 to 70£ per night we are talking about just one bed.

in a common room with 4 or 8 beds the hostel we stayed in is called “borgarnes hi hostel” it’s a group of hostels you can find it in different cities here and it’s almost 32£ per night excluding breakfast or anything.

it would be better if you have your sleeping bag because in most of the hostels in iceland you have to pay 10£ for the coverlet .

the 2nd choice especially if you are not alone is Airbnb i have already talked about where you can find the local people renting some of their rooms and sometimes the hostels the average cost of the cheapest rooms is between 80 and 120£.

if you’re Booking travelling with two other people you can find a 3 person’s room for 100£ this is the place we’ve booked from Airbnb a room if you don’t have any account the link here.

box offer to you a sale of 25£ for you first trip if you are interested in this room we have 2 beds there’s a bathroom here ,

another bedroom, and the kitchen the 3rd choice is the hotels usually they’re way too expensive I suggest to use ‘Hostelworld.com‘ whitch i have already talked about about the

Food in iceland

the cheapest meal is between 20£ and 30£ a simple sandwish is 15£ to 20£   we are here in one of the modest restaurant in iceland.

there is some meals when you can pay 100£ for a steak so instead of eating in the restaurants.

one you came to iceland go shopping in “bonus” supermarket whitch is the cheapest one in iceland take pasta ,

some juice maybe some fast food whatever you want and you can cook it in the hostel also an important thing ,

the tap’s water in iceland is potable but only the cold water the hot one smells like frowsty eggs.

while turning on the tap to have a hot water it smells like sh** it tastes very bad but conserning the touristic zones Travelling iceland is considered as one of the best places i went to.

where you can find , waterfalls ,volcanos , mountains, rivers and every beautiful thing you can see i did a special map here.

where you can find every beautiful places you shoul visit in iceland most of the important places to visit are placed on one linear road called the ring road.

most of the tourists drives all the way on the road and most of the places are for free the own place i went whitch wasn’t for free is the blue lagune.

and there is others places you can’t reach without the touristic tour like the frozen caves usually the tour takes 3 hours and costs between 200£ to 300£.

and the walking on the frozen river ‘s tour but i don’t know that much about because i didn’t do it.

Transportations in iceland

and finally about Iceland Travel Guide and Costs the transportations there is three options you can do.

the first one is to hire a car and if you didn’t you can find someone who did and go travel with how to find them ?

it’s easy if you search on “couchserfing.com” find someone who travels in iceland usually they mentioned that they have a car and need someone to travel with me,

in order to help each other with the expenses, or while staying at the hostel you can find someone who own a car and ask if you can go travel with him and help with the expenses ,

Secondly you can find a ride with hitchhiking on our road we find some hitchhikers   and if you want to know more about hitchhiking in iceland,

i will leave the link down bellow the third option is travelling with the touristic tours and you can fin them in this link
guidetoiceland.is

so if you don’t have a car and don’t want to hitchhike these tours can take you from the capital city Rekevek a one day trip to different places .

same thing the next day to other places finally to anyone who finished my review Thank you so much i have resumed all iceland’s vlogs in “iceland’s trip”
