My partner and I were supposed to get married last week and the wedding was postponed following the corona, we decided travel to Istanbul and Cappadocia.

I discovered an amazing country with good and charming people and just fell in love!

I will not write our schedule for every day because there are a lot of such posts here, but it is important for me to write recommendations and opinions on specific things.

We landed at Sabiha Airport.
Our hotel was in a ceremonial area, so we took a bus that goes directly there.   Dont spend money on a driver.  there is a bus that write on it  Havabus, very convenient!  That comes out to £ 18 per person.

Recommended hotel in Istanbul CVK park bosphoros

We decided to go for the CVK park bosphoros hotel.  In one word-wow !!  We took a room with a sea view – perfect, clean rooms, of a very high standard, everything there is automatic and advanced.

The staff is amazing!  Jim, the hotel’s concierge, is one of the lovely people we met, helping us with everything from helping me find my partner’s lost wallet on the way from the airport to helping us set a daily schedule and close places for us at restaurants and attractions.  Just perfect.

Food in Istanbul

Nusr-et Restaurant in Butler – was really great.  Fresh and well-made meats.
We booked places at 20:00, got there and the queue dragged on to the end of the street, we almost ran away from there in shock, but we decided to give it a try and wait, and indeed in the end it turned out that we waited only a quarter of an hour.

It is highly recommended to book places in advance!  Please note that their website is not updated according to the guidelines of early closing of restaurants so it allows to book places also for 22:00 at night.

but it is important to know that at 22:00 they will just take you out so it is advisable to close places in advance at 20:00 and below.

Ruby – an excellent restaurant, great atmosphere.  We were not at the club because it was full but would have looked really nice.  Please note that it also closes at 22:00!

Turkish sweets – Hafiz Mustafa is indeed very tasty.  In addition, in the branch opposite Istaklal, next to Hafiz, there is a place called Farouk that does not really fall from it.  We sat there twice and it was really great!

Amelia Cafe – The place is stunning, the food less so.

Boat Cruise – We closed for a cruise on the ship, it was really lovely and fun.  You can also add breakfast when closing, we chose not to take breakfast and still got tea (they came to fill our glasses every time they emptied a bit) and full of snacks.Travel to Istanbul and Cappadocia.

Hammam – the highlight of the trip:

We closed a hammam called Cagalogu hamam.
Awesome Awesome Awesome !!  A polished place located inside an ancient and beautiful building. 

We felt like kings.  It also turned out that when we closed there were no people and we were really alone in the whole hammam (women and men separated).

  Did everything for us (at the level of tying us the robe) I just enjoyed every second.  We left there in euphoria.

The place is not cheap compared to other hammams I have seen here, but I had a very important cleanliness and authentic experience and it was just worth it.  We also added a massage afterwards.

It is highly recommended!  (The name of the specific girl who made me is Celine and she’s just amazing!).

Leather products – In the area of ​​the blue mosque there is a store called Oscar of a lovely guy from whom we bought a very high quality leather jacket.Travel to Istanbul and Cappadocia.

Travel to Cappadocia

Cappadocia is an area where there are lovely towns and areas for hiking.  The highlight of the place is the amazing balloons that are there.

Flight to Cappadocia

We closed with a Go Travel Booking domestic flight from Kayseri Airport.  There is one airport closer to Cappadocia but flights to it depart from Istanbul’s main airport and do not depart.Travel to Istanbul and Cappadocia Flight.

We closed through the hotel a shuttle directly from the airport to the town of Goreme – an hour’s drive.

Hotel in Cappadocia Hotel Arinna

The Arinna Hotel is amazing!  All the houses and hotels there are hewn in the rock and it is really special.  The location of the hotel was perfect, the terrace overlooks all the amazing view of the balloons, great breakfast and the owner of the hotel is just lovely!

Helped us close everything.  We closed through it the shuttle to the field, a hot air balloon ride and another tour of the area we took the day after.

We did the tour with a lovely guide named Jamil.  It can also be closed directly (English speaker) – Cemil Demircan is really recommended!

Restaurant in Cappadocia – Pumpkin

Family restaurant.  The owner is the chef.  The food is simply excellent and not expensive at all.
In conclusion – admit that I did not expect to be so in love with Turkey, but everything just exceeded all my expectations.
